How to survive the day after a presidential debate
Sep 11, 2024
Whew! The day after a presidential debate can be intense, especially in this election here in the US. As we know from experience, the fallout from the debate will continue to permeate the news, social media, and conversations for days.
Be kind to yourself. There is a lot to think about and so much to absorb. Here are some suggestions to help you navigate the aftermath of a debate:
Media: Be mindful of what you consume. Stay informed with good sources, and set limits of media exposure.
Boundaries: Know your boundaries. Engage in healthy conversations and avoid heated arguments.
Self-care: Make self-care a priority. Engage in activities that bring peace; exercise, journal, eat well and rest.
Take Action: Focus on what you can control. Take actionable steps, volunteer, listen and be kind to yourself, and others.
And remember, we're all in this together. ❤️
